Program & Policies Agreement
Pfister Auto Academy LLC – Program & Policies Agreement
This agreement is entered into between Pfister Auto Academy LLC (“School”) and the enrolling Student and Parent/Guardian (if applicable). By enrolling, both parties agree to the following terms:
1. Certificate of Driver Education (CDE)
The student will receive the Certificate of Driver Education (CDE) form once they have enrolled in the online course through Pfister Auto Academy LLC or have completed an approved course elsewhere, and completed all six required behind-the-wheel driving lessons.
2. Payment Terms
All fees must be paid in full prior to enrollment in the online course.
There are no refunds once the student has been enrolled in the online course.
3. Enrollment Process

Students will be enrolled into the online course after completing registration and payment.

A confirmation email will be sent automatically upon registration.

A welcome email and CDE form will follow within one business day.

If registration occurs on a Friday after 4:00 p.m., the welcome email and CDE may not be issued until the next business day.
4. Online Course Timeframe
Students have 120 days to complete the online course.
If the course is not completed, students must re-purchase the course and all progress will be lost.
5. Eligibility
Per Indiana law, students must be at least 15 years old to begin the online program.
6. Behind-the-Wheel Driving Lessons

Students are required to complete six (6) behind-the-wheel driving lessons, each lasting a full hour.

Driving lessons must be completed within 180 days of the first scheduled lesson, in accordance with Indiana law.
7. Required Documentation
The student must provide a valid Certificate of Completion from the online course and a copy of their learner’s permit before any behind-the-wheel lessons can be scheduled.
8. Scheduling and Attendance Policy

Driving lessons are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis once all required documents have been submitted.

Parents and students will have the ability to schedule their own drives through the website.

24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule any driving lesson.

Failure to do so will result in a $20 late cancellation fee.

A valid physical copy of the learner’s permit must be brought to each lesson.

Digital copies or photos of the permit are not accepted.

Arriving without the permit will result in cancellation and a $20 rescheduling fee.

Proper footwear is required for all lessons (no flip flops, sandals, wedges, or heels).

Inappropriate footwear will result in cancellation and a $20 fee.
9. Parental Consent and Responsibility
Students under 18 must have parental/guardian consent to enroll.
The parent/guardian assumes full responsibility for tuition and any cancellation fees.
10. No License Guarantee
Pfister Auto Academy does not guarantee a driver’s license or successful completion of the state road skills test. Completion of the program does not ensure the student will pass the state test or obtain a license.
11. Road Skills Test (Optional)

A BMV-certified road skills test may be administered to students who have completed both the online course and all six required driving lessons.

Students purchasing only driving lessons may still schedule a road test for an additional fee.

Students are allowed two attempts to pass the test.
-
After two failures, students must complete the test at the Indiana BMV.

Pfister Auto Academy reserves the right to deny a road test for any reason.

No refunds will be offered once students are entered into the system.

All driving lessons expire 1 year from purchase and are non-transferable.
12. Vehicle Safety & Recording Notice
For safety and compliance, all vehicles used in instruction:

Are equipped with passenger-side brakes and instructor mirrors,
-
Are equipped with dash cams recording interior and exterior video and audio for training and quality assurance purposes.
13. Assumption of Risk
Driving carries inherent risks, including accidents, collisions, property damage, personal injury, or death. By enrolling, the student and parent/guardian voluntarily assume full responsibility for all such risks, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or not.
14. Release of Liability & Hold Harmless Agreement
By signing or electronically acknowledging this agreement, you fully release and discharge Pfister Auto Academy LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, successors, and assigns (“Released Parties”) from any and all claims, liabilities, causes of action, or demands of any kind, including but not limited to those arising from negligence, that result in injury, death, or property damage occurring:

During any in-car driving lesson,
-
During any in-car road skills test,
-
After completion or graduation from the program while the student is operating a vehicle independently.
This release applies to all future use of driving skills obtained during or after training and covers all accidents, damages, or incidents involving the student as a driver or passenger, regardless of cause.
The undersigned further agrees never to sue, make a claim, or demand compensation from the Released Parties for any occurrence arising directly or indirectly from participation in this program.
15. Indemnification
You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pfister Auto Academy LLC and all Released Parties from any and all claims, lawsuits, damages, legal fees, and expenses brought by third parties for any accident, injury, death, or damage caused by the student’s operation of a vehicle, during or after the completion of the program, including but not limited to:

Negligent or reckless driving,
-
Failure to follow traffic laws,
-
Any accident occurring after graduation, even if related to skills taught in this program.
This indemnity obligation applies forever and survives the termination or completion of this agreement.
16. No Employment Relationship
Participation in this program does not create an employment, agency, or partnership relationship between the student (or parent/guardian) and Pfister Auto Academy LLC.
17. Severability Clause
If any portion of this agreement is found to be invalid, the remaining sections shall remain in full legal force and effect.
18. Acknowledgement of Terms
By checking the agreement box during online registration or signing in person, you confirm that:

You are either the student (18+) or the legal parent/guardian,

You have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions, including the Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnification clauses above.
If registered online, checking the confirmation box serves as your legal acknowledgment and agreement to these terms.
Pfister Auto Academy – Policies
1. In-Car Instruction
-
The program includes six (6) one-hour private lessons, scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
-
A valid learner’s permit is required to schedule and must be presented before every lesson. No permit = no drive.
Lessons begin and end at the academy or designated satellite location. -
Secure, closed-toe shoes are required (no flip-flops, sandals, or platform shoes). Improper footwear will result in lesson cancellation and a $20 reschedule fee for safety reasons.
2. Cancellations & No-Shows

Cancellations or changes must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.
-
Less than 24 hours’ notice or failure to bring a permit will result in a $20 late cancellation/no-show fee.

Due to limited instructor availability, this policy is firm and non-negotiable.
3. Obtaining a Driver Education Permit

Students must be 15 years or older and provide a birth certificate or passport for a C.D.E. form.

We are working on electronic delivery, but currently, the form must be picked up or mailed.
-
Once the online course is completed and the certificate of completion is received, six (6) private lessons will be scheduled.
